Derelict walls exist all over India, no matter where you are. Run down after years and years, chipped paint and soiled posters, graffiti and foliage. the transformation is even more impactful however can only last so long. I was truly speechless that when work began, two weeks later I got a video call, woken up by the main man, Yogesh, and he showed me the wall behind him.
Transforming the streets of INDIA | Delhi street art focus on adding stunning art on run down walls, best known for their wall murals and aiming to bring back the true essence of the land with colour and vibrancy.
I was approached to have my work as a part of this project, putting two of my amazing Mughal maharanis onto these huge canvases! The location was Naini train station, in Allahabad.
Absolutely breathtaking, a trusted team of local artists in India painted my pieces on a busy street where the prominent walls are often littered with posters and political graffiti. Today, that artwork exists now as part of those walls, layered with more posters, weathering away naturally!
